TrustOrigin Ltd
Privacy Notice
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This notice explains how TrustOrigin handles personal information when you visit our public website or contact us through its enquiry form.
Who we are
TRUSTORIGIN LTD (company number 17384792) is responsible for the public-site processing described in this notice and acts as the data controller.
Contact us at contact@trustorigin.uk.
Information we collect
Information you provide
If you send an enquiry, the form requires your name, work email address, company, industry and message. All five fields are required. Please avoid including sensitive or unrelated personal information in your message.
Technical and security information
We may process limited technical information, such as an IP address and request information, to prevent abuse and protect the contact service. This information is temporary operational data and is not used as a permanent customer or contact profile. Website and service providers may also process standard request information needed to deliver and protect their services.
The public DPP sample contains fictional, illustrative records. The sample itself does not ask for or intentionally collect visitor personal information.
Why we use information and our lawful basis
Contact enquiries: We use your details to respond, understand the services you have asked about, communicate with prospective business contacts and customers, and manage related business correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in handling and responding to business enquiries and developing relevant business relationships.
Website and contact-service security: We use limited request information to prevent abuse and protect the contact service. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and available. These interests are balanced against the limited, temporary use of the information for that purpose.
How we use and share information
The contact form sends your enquiry to our contact service, which uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) Simple Email Service (SES) to deliver it to contact@trustorigin.uk. After delivery, we handle the message as business correspondence through our business email service.
We do not currently store contact-form submissions in our application database; enquiries are delivered to us by email.
Our website hosting and infrastructure providers process information as needed to serve the site and contact endpoint.
We may also disclose information where required by law, where necessary to protect rights or security, or in connection with a genuine business sale or transfer where the law permits it.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage relevant follow-up and business correspondence, establish or maintain a business relationship where applicable, and meet legitimate legal or record-keeping needs. Information no longer required should be deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
Limited technical information used to prevent abuse is temporary operational data and is not retained as a permanent contact record.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where a transfer is restricted by UK data-protection law, we will use a transfer mechanism permitted by that law.
Cookies, analytics and third-party content
TrustOrigin does not currently implement analytics or advertising cookies on the public website. This does not mean that infrastructure providers or future authenticated services can never use cookies.
Some homepage product images are loaded directly from Unsplash. When your browser requests an image, it communicates with Unsplash, which may receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser user-agent.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access your personal information, have inaccurate information corrected, request erasure, request restriction of its use, object to processing, or receive certain information in a portable format.
Your right to object
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to that processing. We will consider your objection and respond in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
How to exercise your rights
Email contact@trustorigin.uk. Please tell us enough for us to understand and locate your request. We may need to verify your identity where appropriate, but will not routinely ask for identity documents unless they are reasonably needed.
Complaints
Please contact us first at contact@trustorigin.uk so we can try to address your concern.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Information is available at ico.org.uk.
Automated decision-making
The current public website does not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the current service to protect personal information. No method of handling or transmitting information can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as our services or information practices change. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date shown at the top of this page.
